Reporting and Exporting
Reporting provides a method for departments to access and interrogate the Bill of
Material within iCenter. The reporting feature is a flexible tool that gives organizations
the ability to dissect, filter, sort and group data to improve decision making and
provide better communication of the bill of material.
Reports
iCenter is equipped with a robust reporting editor to help create customized reports.
Through the utilization of VB Script the reporting engine allows programmers to
create and customize the reports needed to communicate Bill of Materials. With the
iCenter reporting engine organizations have the ability to incorporate mathematical
/ textual functions in the creation of their reports. Some examples of the type
of reports that can be created within iCenter include: Parts-Only Report, Indented
Bill of Material Report, Quotation Report, Cut-list Report and much more. The reports
generated can then be printed and shared with other departments.
Exporting
Reports can be exported to many different file formats such as Microsoft Excel®,
Adobe Acrobat PDF®, HTML and Text. The exports can be formatted to integrate
with other downstream applications such as document management and ERP systems.
iCenter also comes equiped with a full-featured export engine. Exports can be configured
and stored to output various types of data. Both Document iProperties and Bill of
Materials information can be written to Microsoft Access®, Microsoft Excel®
and XML. There are many options to choose from to design the proper export format
and layout that is required.
