User Interface

The iCenter user interface was designed to leverage the rules found within Microsoft Windows Explorer® and Microsoft Excel®. Leveraging these rules simplifies training and the length of time to implement iCenter. iCenter utilizes standard Shift and Ctrl functions to filter and select components. The iCenter interface also mimics a familiar spreadsheet like interface to aid in the navigation of components and modification of iProperties. iCenter’s intuitive interfaces provides the user with instant feedback that gently guides the user through the application.

Multi-Select and Multi-Set

Quickly populate iProperty values on multiple components, drastically reducing errors and decreasing the time necessary to enter iProperties.

Sort and Filter

Formats the overall visibility of the bill of material based on user criteria. With the ability to select which iProperties appear in the iCenter Browser, users can take advantage of Microsoft Excel® like features to sort and filter any column.

Tree / Components Only Bill of Materials

Enables the user to view the bill of material in two modes:

• Tree View - Provides the user with a hierarchical representation of the bill of material showing all the parent child relationships of all Inventor components.
• Component View - Provides the user with a flat view of the bill of material in order for the user to see the assemblies overall "rolled-up" quantities.

Stored Views

Offers the ability to save and restore a custom Bill of Materials view. Stored Views can be saved with predefine sorts and filter criteria. The Stored View provides the iCenter user with instant visibility and access to favorite iProperties.

Image View

Provides the ability for users to scroll through the iCenter browser and view a thumbnail of each assembly component even if buried and hidden within a large assembly. The improved visibility allows users to quickly locate parts to edit and modify geometry or iProperties.
