Security and Workflow

iCenter Security provides an environment where the iCenter Administrator is able to define users and groups and assign privileges to create, read, write, and delete iProperties. iCenter allows the administrator to define which iProperties are mandatory and at what stage of the process the iProperties are required. With the ability to protect Bill of Materials data that leaves iCenter control, custom iProperties can be created making certain that data is always secure internal and external of iCenter.

Users and Groups

Provides a layer of security that enables iCenter administrators to create users and groups and assign permissions regarding who can view or edit iProperty information. The iCenter environment ensures data is safe, secure and protected.

Workflow

The core focus of the iProperty Management and Workflow section of iCenter is to create an environment that allows the iCenter Administrator to determine the following:

• Who must enter the required iProperties?
• What iProperties are required and what format must they follow?
• When within the process should iProperties be entered?
• How the iProperty data should be populated. Ex: User input, Custom Drop Down Lists, Database Combo Lists?

iProperty Validation

Verifies that all required iProperties are entered and follow the rules defined by the iCenter administrator.

Change History

Records and displays the user information, date and time when a Property Status was changed.

Document Links

Allows users to quickly associate supporting documents such as Microsoft Word®, Microsoft Excel® and Adobe Acrobat PDF® files to Autodesk Inventor® documents for easy accessibility.
